Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 24, 2026
Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Sift Labs Corp. ("Sift Labs," "we," "us," or "our") handles information collected through our marketing website at siftevidence.com (the "Site").
It applies to the public marketing Site only. It does not cover the Sift Evidence application, our authenticated product used by customers, which is provided under a separate customer agreement and data processing terms. Evidence, case data, and other content handled inside the application are governed by that agreement, not this policy.
Information we collect
Information you provide.
- When you submit our contact form: your name, work email, and optionally your agency or office, your role, and the message you send.
- When you book a demo through our scheduler: your name, email, and any details you choose to include with the booking.
Information collected automatically.
- Privacy-preserving analytics. We do not use cookies or store identifiers in your browser. Our analytics provider measures visits using a daily, server-side hashed signal rather than cookies, and the events we record contain no names or email addresses.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting may record technical information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We use this for a limited period for security, reliability, and troubleshooting.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information or payment information through the Site, and the Site has no user accounts or logins.
How we use information
- To respond to your questions and demo requests, and to schedule and hold demos.
- To follow up with you about Sift Evidence.
- To measure and improve the performance and content of the Site.
- To maintain the security of the Site and prevent misuse.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
Cookies and tracking
The Site does not set cookies and does not use cross-site or third-party advertising trackers. Because we operate without cookies, we do not show a cookie-consent banner. We do not engage in "targeted advertising" or "cross-context behavioral advertising" as those terms are defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share limited information with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, solely to provide these functions:
- Website hosting and content delivery (Amazon Web Services).
- Demo scheduling (SavvyCal).
- Website analytics, cookieless (PostHog, United States region).
- Email delivery so we can respond to your inquiry (Amazon Web Services).
We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sift Labs or others, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition.
Third-party services we link to or embed
The Site embeds a demo scheduler and links to our application sign-in. These third parties have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. See the SavvyCal privacy policy, the PostHog privacy policy, and the AWS privacy notice.
Data retention
We keep inquiry and lead information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, generally up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a longer period is required by law. After that we delete or de-identify it.
Security
We use reasonable measures such as encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to appeal a decision about your request. Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, there is no such activity to opt out of. You can opt out of our marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us.
To make a request, submit it through our contact form. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
California residents. In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email); professional or employment information (agency or office, role); and limited internet or network activity and coarse location inferred from server logs. We collect these directly from you and automatically from your use of the Site, and use them for the purposes described in "How we use information." We disclose them only to the service providers listed above. We do not sell or share personal information.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for working professionals and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Visitors outside the United States
The Site is operated in the United States and intended for a United States audience. It is not directed to individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand your information is processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows the most recent version, and we will post material changes on this page.
